Vol. 2 . . . 1855-1862 (published 1986)

These books index passenger lists of ships that arrived in New York from Bremen. However, they only included those immigrants where the place of origin was given (most passenger lists do not have this information), so they are only partially useful. There are approximately 125,000 names in all four volumes combined. Some genealogy and public libraries may carry these books.

All four volumes of "Lists of Passengers Bound from Bremen to New York" are included on the German & Swiss Settlers in America 1700s-1800s CD-Rom. Click on the title for ordering information. This CD-Rom also includes the text of many other books related to German immigration to the US, mostly from the 18th century.
